- Address: Via Ricasoli 58/60, 50122 Firenze. Part of the 'Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze e Musei del Bargello' group (not the Uffizi).
- Hours from 15 March 2026: Tuesday-Sunday 8:15-18:50; closed Mondays, 25 December and 1 January (exceptional openings happen).
- Last entry: 40 minutes before closing under the 2026 ticket regulation (older museum pages still say 18:20).
- Tickets: online (max 10 per transaction) or by phone (+39 055 294883), nominative, timed, with a booking fee; same-day tickets
  at the ticket office have no time slot and use the non-reserved entrance. Reservation optional but recommended.
- Free: under 18 every day (any nationality); everyone on the first Sunday of the month (no booking that day) and on 25 April,

- 'Buy a skip-the-line ticket to avoid the queue': no ticket skips the security check; a reserved timed ticket (official or
  resold) avoids the ticket-office queue only. On free first Sundays booking is switched off and everyone queues.
- 'There is a combined Uffizi + Accademia ticket': there is no official one; a combined guided tour or the Firenzecard (with a
  reservation) are the ways to get both.
- 'The Accademia has a Cristofori piano': it has his 1690 oval spinet; his surviving pianos are in New York, Rome and Leipzig.
- 'The bronze David at Piazzale Michelangelo dates from 1873': it was placed in 1875; 1873 is when the original moved indoors.
